Electrical Fire in Pottstown

At approximately 10:30 p.m., Sanatoga was dispatched to assist the Pottstown Fire Department in the area of North Hanover Street and East High Street for an underground transformer fire.

CH58 arrived on scene and provided support at the command post while crews from Squad and Quint 58 checked nearby buildings for carbon monoxide and natural gas. Fire and emergency crews remained on scene for about four and a half hours before being released.
