At 0236HRS Squad 58 was dispatched to assist Pottstown Fire Department on the working fire dispatch in the 200 Block of N. Price St. Crews from 69 arrived with fire showing from the 2nd Floor of a Cape Cod style dwelling. Squad and Engine 58 made the response with a total of 9 personnel and were tasked with overhaul, and assisting the Fire Marshalls with digging debris. While operating, units are advised of a second call for a Dwelling Fire in the 300 Block of Walnut Street in the Boro of Pottstown. Crews from 58 and 59 (Ringing Hill) and Ladder 69 (Pottstown) were released from N. Price St. and sent to the Walnut Street Fire. Engine 69-4 (Pottstown) responded from quarters and arrived with smoke showing from the front door of a 2 Story Twin. DC59 (Ringing Hill) took command and crews from located fire in a dryer with extension to the room and surrounding contents. Crews from 69 and 58 placed a handline in service off of Engine 69-4 and quickly held the fire to the room of origin.
